The highly-regarded (not by me) economist and textbook author Paul Samuelson once said, "I don't care who writes a nation's laws--or crafts its advanced treaties--if I can write its economics textbooks." This blog is intented to counter the deleterious influence on our people, institutions, culture, and society of Harvard economist (and textbook author) Greg Mankiw and the economics profession more generally. The academic study of economics today bares no resemblance to the objective science it portends to be, but combines esoteric, meaningless mathematics with an ideology that promotes self-interest, markets, and free trade as inherently good.
